Novo Nordisk to Slash US List Prices ~50% for Wegovy, Ozempic, and Rybelsus in 2027

Wegovy is Novo Nordisk's branded semaglutide for chronic weight management. The injectable form launched in 2021. Oral Wegovy — a reformulated, higher-dose oral semaglutide — launched in late 2025 and early 2026, with the 1.5mg starter dose at $149/month and the 4mg dose moving from $149 to $199 effective April 15, 2026.

Medicare to Cover GLP-1 Weight Loss Drugs at $50/Month Starting July 2026
CMS confirmed that Medicare Part D beneficiaries will gain access to Wegovy and Zepbound for weight loss through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program starting July 2026 at a $50 monthly copayment, bridging to the full BALANCE Model launching in Medicare Part D in January 2027.
