KPV Pricing: September 2026

KPV is a three-amino-acid peptide (lysine, proline, valine) cut from the tail of alpha-MSH, a hormone the body makes. Clinics sell it for gut and skin inflammation, usually as an injection or a capsule. On July 23, 2026, the FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC) voted 8-6, with one abstention, to recommend adding KPV to the Section 503A bulks list. That vote put KPV on its own regulatory footing, so this guide prices it alone; until now the site covered it only inside the KLOW blend.

What the vote does and does not do. Section 503A is the part of federal drug law that lets a state-licensed pharmacy make a medicine for one named patient, on a prescription. Section 503B covers larger "outsourcing facilities" that make batches under FDA inspection. A pharmacy may only compound from a raw ingredient if that ingredient sits on the FDA's 503A bulks list or is a component of an approved drug, and KPV is on neither. PCAC's job is to advise; the FDA still has to write a proposed rule, take public comment, and publish a final rule before anything changes. As of August 26, 2026, the agency had issued no proposed rule, no notice, and no interim policy. The law firm Holland & Knight wrote on August 4 that the six recommended peptides "still cannot be lawfully compounded" and that FDA can keep taking enforcement action against pharmacies that make them. What that means for prices. The legal picture and the retail picture do not match. KPV.com, a telehealth site, advertises KPV therapy from $239 a month and says that, if prescribed, "a U.S. based state licensed compounding pharmacy ships your KPV directly to you." BeyondMD sells a BPC-157/KPV/TB-500 injectable program from $199 through what it describes as licensed 503A pharmacies. Compounding Finder, a marketplace that routes prescriptions to pharmacies for quotes, refuses KPV requests because the peptide is not on the 503A list. Research vendors sell 10 mg vials for $36 to $100 with a "research use only" label, which means the seller disclaims any human use, and insurance covers none of this.
