Semax & Selank Pricing: September 2026

Semax cleared PCAC 8-5 on July 24, 2026; Selank was never on the agenda. Russian imports from $13, compounded sprays $105–$150, clinic programs $229–$445.

Semax passed the FDA's compounding panel 8-5 on July 24, 2026, and Selank was never on the agenda. The Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee, or PCAC, advises the FDA on which raw ingredients pharmacies may use to make patient-specific drugs under Section 503A of the drug law. It recommended Semax for three adult uses: cerebral ischemia (reduced blood flow to the brain), migraine, and trigeminal neuralgia (a facial nerve pain condition). Cognitive enhancement, the use most vendors market it for, was not among them. Selank had no nomination before the panel, so nothing about its status changed in July. Our post-PCAC pricing hub tracks all six peptides that passed, and this explainer covers why a yes vote changes nothing on day one.

The vote is advice, not a rule. As of late August 2026, the FDA has published no proposed rule and no interim policy. That means compounding pharmacies still cannot lawfully make Semax from bulk powder, and the FDA can still act against those that do. A proposed rule with a public comment period is the next formal step. A second PCAC peptide meeting is due before the end of February 2027, but it covers five other peptides and neither Semax nor Selank is on that list.

Where the prices moved. The Russian pharmacy channel got cheaper after Ru-Pills stopped taking orders and relaunched as rupills.com, where Peptogen-brand Semax 0.1% nasal drops list at $13.17 and Selank 0.15% at $17.59. RxEli raised Semax 0.1% from $30 to $35 and shows it out of stock. US compounded product is now priced in the open: Simon's Compounding lists a Selank-Semax nasal spray at $105, and RxPepsDirect sells a $150 compounded spray behind a $39 telehealth visit. Longevity DSM in Des Moines, formerly Iowa IV, quotes $229 for a 30-day supply of provider-guided injections, while Perfect B in Doral, Florida charges $445 for an 8-week cycle.

What changed in the research-vendor tier. These vendors sell vials and sprays labeled "research use only," not for human use, with no prescription and no medical oversight. Base Semax and Selank vials held steady at $35 for 5 mg of Selank at Battle Born and $63 for 25 mg of Semax at Core Peptides, while Power Peptides' Selank kit jumped from $98.99 to $142.99. Limitless Biotech moved all its pricing behind a researcher login, so its three April listings are gone from this guide. Concierge MD, Ballwool, Iron Mountain Labz, and Restore Pharmacy also dropped out, because we could not verify their pages or the pages no longer exist.

Two terms used below. Semax is a seven-amino-acid fragment of the stress hormone ACTH, and Selank is a synthetic copy of tuftsin, a small immune peptide. Both are sold in Russia as prescription nasal drops made by Peptogen. The "N-acetyl amidate" versions (NASP and NASEL) add chemical caps at both ends of the peptide to slow its breakdown, which vendors say stretches the effect from a few hours to most of a day. Insurance covers none of this.

After the July 2026 PCAC vote

The PCAC vote is advice to the FDA rather than a rule, and it changed nothing about what a pharmacy may legally make. Under Section 503A, a pharmacy may compound a drug from a bulk ingredient only if that ingredient is on the FDA's bulks list or meets other narrow criteria, and neither Semax nor Selank is on the list. These rows track what has and has not happened since July 24, 2026.

Russian pharmacy imports (Peptogen brand)

These are the finished prescription products sold in Russian pharmacies, made by Peptogen and shipped from abroad in two to four weeks. Ru-Pills no longer takes orders at its old address and now sells through rupills.com, which is why the URLs below differ from April. Bringing a small personal supply into the US falls under FDA enforcement discretion rather than a legal right, and shipments can be seized.

Cosmic Nootropic (Selank 0.15%, 3 mL) $54–$60 Cosmic Nootropic

US clinics and telehealth

Few US clinics publish a Semax or Selank price, and those that do dispense a compounded product under a provider's supervision at a cost that includes the visit. Longevity DSM is the renamed Iowa IV program we listed in April, and Concierge MD's $399 monthly subscription is gone from this table because we could not verify its page.

US compounding pharmacies (prescription required)

Section 503A pharmacies making Semax or Selank today are doing so without the bulks-list cover the PCAC vote was meant to lead to, and that exposure has not stopped them from publishing prices. Two of the three pharmacies below now show a price in the open, which was not true in April.

Research vendors: base Semax and Selank (research use only)

Research-use-only product, sold without a prescription or medical oversight; vials need reconstitution while sprays come ready to use. Limitless Biotech's three April listings are gone because its prices now sit behind a researcher login.

Research vendors: N-acetyl amidate variants (research use only)

N-Acetyl Semax Amidate (NASP) and N-Acetyl Selank Amidate (NASEL) are chemically capped versions that resist enzyme breakdown, and vendors claim a longer effect and less frequent dosing. Iron Mountain Labz is gone from this list because its page blocked our checks.
