TB-500 Pricing: September 2026

The price picture as of September 2, 2026. TB-500 is a synthetic piece of thymosin beta-4, a 43-amino-acid protein the body uses in cell repair and blood-vessel growth, and no regulator has approved it for human use. Research vendors now sell a 5 mg vial for about $35 and a 10 mg vial for $42 to $70, both lower than in April. Clinic programs run $120 to $300 a month at med-spas and $175 to $450 at specialist peptide clinics, while most telehealth sellers pair it with BPC-157 in a "Wolverine" stack from $199 a month. Insurance covers none of it.

What the July vote did and did not do. On July 23, 2026, the FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee (PCAC) voted 8-6 to recommend TB-500 for the Section 503A bulks list. That list names the raw ingredients a licensed pharmacy may use to compound a drug for one named patient with a prescription, while Section 503B covers outsourcing facilities that make bulk batches under their own list. In April we wrote that TB-500's status was murky, and the vote settled the panel's view but nothing else. PCAC advises; the FDA decides through rulemaking, which means a proposed rule, a comment period, and a final rule. Holland & Knight's August 4 note said the six recommended peptides "still cannot be lawfully compounded," and no proposed rule had appeared by the end of August. Two warnings from June. On June 25, 2026, UVA Health obesity medicine director Catherine Varney told WSET she will not prescribe TB-500 or BPC-157 because human evidence is thin. That same month Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration made unapproved peptides a formal compliance priority, naming TB-500 alongside BPC-157, GHK-Cu, retatrutide, and CJC-1295, with import seizures and fines among the tools. Neither event moved US prices.

Vendor changes since April. Simon's, which we had filed under compounding pharmacies, says on its own page that it is a research chemical supplier, so it now sits with the research vendors. US Chem Labs replaced its 5 mg five-vial kit with a 10 mg kit at $69.73 a vial, and SwissChems retired its 5 mg ten-vial kit page in favor of single vials.
