Epithalon (Epitalon) Pricing: April 2026
Epithalon ranges from $35 per research vial to $275–$475 per clinic cycle. FDA Category 1 reclassification pending July 2026.
Epithalon (also spelled Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, AEDG) originally developed at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology by Vladimir Khavinson. It was derived from the bovine pineal extract "epithalamin" and is marketed primarily for telomerase activation, telomere elongation, and pineal gland restoration.
Mechanism: Epithalon upregulates telomerase expression, potentially extending telomere length. It also restores circadian melatonin production and upregulates BDNF. Most of the evidence base comes from Khavinson's Russian lab, with limited independent replication.
Standard research protocol: 10 mg subcutaneous daily for 10 consecutive days, repeated 2–3 times per year with 4-month washouts between cycles. Some protocols extend to 20-day cycles.
Forms available:
- Injectable lyophilized powder (most common) — reconstituted with bacteriostatic water
- Nasal spray — including N-acetyl-epithalon-amidate variant with enhanced mucosal absorption
- Oral capsules — lower bioavailability
Regulatory status (April 2026): NOT FDA-approved. Currently on FDA 503A Category 2 list, but scheduled for Category 1 reclassification by July 24, 2026 per the February 2026 HHS announcement (one of 14 peptides moving back to Category 1). Insurance does not cover Epithalon.
Telehealth & Clinic Programs
Medically supervised Epithalon programs. Most mainstream telehealth platforms do NOT currently offer Epithalon pending FDA Category 1 reclassification. Access is primarily through specialty telehealth and concierge clinics.
